The High and Low of Heels for Spring Racing Carnival

Stepping out this year for Spring Racing Carnival, you may be pleased to know that the 'Killer Heels' are just about over. Yes you are going to see us teetering onto our toes still, but the main fashion right now is the nude heel and keeping it low, that is the heel.

There are some gorgeous heels to die for right now, but we are going to be paying the big bucks. That is fine if you want to raid your wallet or want to max your credit card, but just please don't purchase the cheap knock off’s that will make your feet have an awful stench by the end of the day and you will not be able to walk in. With the trends going back to yesteryear and the 80s, the stiletto is in, but not sky high. Lovely Low heels, that are well made are a must.

In case you have not seen, the trend is nude, buff, beige and basically just an extension of your own lower leg. I love the Rachael Zoe heels in this edit for a very modest price. They go with everything and this years must have.

Vs2R Spring 2013

Vs2R is a shoe label founded by Italian Vincenzo Somarrelli, who started by studying environmental engineering, before starting a career in fashion. While the shoes appear to be quite full on, there is also something quite simple about the graphic shapes on the art deco heels. I almost think the pale pink wedges below right would make gorgeous wedding shoes under a full length dress, so much more interesting than hideous white satin pumps, right?
