What a fantastic evening of Millinery Superstars of Melbourne, mentoring millinery future. Last night I had the honour of being invited to Kangan Institute's millinery soiree, and I know what you are thinking with a soiree, Paris Kyne must be involved, and he was.
Melissa Jackson hosted the evening with a delight of ballet a formidable parade of up and coming milliners and a wonderful speech by the delightful Kim Fletcher. I cannot tell you how inspiring Kim Fletcher is to speak to about millinery and her travels with the Melbourne Cup and the VRC.
We were joined by the elite of Melbourne Millinery and really they are the ALL STARS! As I say, not everyone has heard of these names, but if you mention millinery they are synonymous with everything hats.
At present I have the delight in announcing that some days we may only have 400 likers, but that does not mean we are not reaching people. The Facebook site of 2012, Bring Back the Hat exceeds 22,000 hits on a daily basis at present. This is to showcase all milliners and their hats and to bring awareness to wearing hats and make them a part of your daily accessories.
