Dare I say that the best is yet to come, but can we get any better than what we have just seen at Derby Day? I must admit my husband 'Hard Luck Motty' who did do well with his tips and betting was not the most popular person when he promised me would not be late, only to have had Fashions on the Field first heats completed.

I guess there was a grey cloud constantly hanging over Melbourne with the threat of Thunderstorms that struck early on in the morning, but pain staking rain did constantly linger over the morning but gave us relief in the afternoon with sunshine. By the time Racing Fashion TV Team came out of the Mumm night club we had no concept of weather at all only a fabulous fun time.

To say Fashions on the Field Derby Day were spectacular is an understatement. There were no faux pas and everyone looked divine. This made the job for the judges very difficult and it really came down to personal taste. The structure of the competition has changed where the judges do not show the scores, it is all done on I pad. These ladies competing are truly tremendous and the attention to detail is second to none. This is what Australia and our ladies of all ages, shapes and sizes are all about. A showcase of beauty and magnificence.

I think my favourite part of the day is that we celebrated each other without any anger or nastiness. This is a blessing to me and I saw smiles this year that were bigger than any other year. I think everyone is realising, this is not a competition against others on stage, it is an eye for detail and what the judges deem appropriate for the day.

The Millinery was outstanding and very well structured. The money that had been spent on Millinery alone would be astonishing and everything was complimented beautifully.

I loved looking around during the day and everywhere I looked the ladies looked amazing and beautiful. I think we all have to say a big thank you to ourselves for looking at each other and really appreciating everyone. There is a place for everyone and that place is enjoyment.

This is going to be the greatest year for appreciation and happiness. Well done everyone for such an amazing day and Team Racing Fashion TV, everyone has commented on how fabulous you all are. I am so blessed to have you a part of something so special in my heart.

Congratulations Courtney Moore who also won the Longines Style Award and Charlotte Moor coming in Runner Up.
