Women in Racing functions are always so much fun and more so at the top of the tallest building on the Gold Coast. The Q1 hosted a beautiful luncheon and I have not seen a room of such beautifully dressed ladies. Everyone was looking splendid. The room had difficulties with the noise level and I had trouble even speaking as usually when I was singing a gig, I would have about 2500 – 3000 people to get into control to listen so I was rallying 150 ladies to a bunch of teenagers that I would have to control 10 years ago, so apologies if I was going too far.
The point I was making is that you ladies are my inspiration and my happiness and show that ladies have the opportunity to dress well just for lunch. Nothing stops the women on the Gold Coast. I love you all, you don't care what people think and you all show off every colour of the rainbow. At the end of the speech I was trying to let everyone know of the lucrative offer I had been given to lead up Australian fashion only to be disappointed as they did not share my passion for ladies of every shape and size, of which I had to say no to the deal. I was proud to say no, as it is not what I believe. You ladies are all my inspiration and how wonderful that Baslyn and Jennie have made such a wonderful contribution to Griffith University for the equine influenza virus. If we do not get on top of this disease we would not have the sport of Kings running 363 days of the year.
