You know you are close to Spring Racing Carnival when you hit the Myer Spring Fashion Luncheon at Flemington with an introduction to Myer's hit Spring looks for the races. I found the luncheon this year who I always go with my mother one of the best I have been to and the cuisine was outstanding.
The fashion was sharp and elegant with something for everyone. My favourite time was speaking to Nerida Winter who I adore but never get to see as she is Sydney Based and of course a chat with Alex Perry. Alex was very quick to point out that his sizes do come in generous sizing. He even said that my figure was similar to host Samantha Armitage and would easily fit my body. This is pleasing to hear after press with very skinny models.
It was my first time being introduced to Alex and I was impressed with how personable he is and down to earth.
Kris Smith is always the crowd pleaser, but he is not wearing socks again, I just cannot keep up with his trends at the moment. But I will be bringing more advice on what the judges will be looking for for Fashions on the Field at Flemington.
Fantastic affordable fashion for all, including all sizes. Thank you Myer for listening to your customer and hearing that the 40+ market is just as big and we are wanting to dress well.
A little hint, careful of where you are in member stands with cut out fashions. They look gorgeous on 20 something, but anything over that looks too fleshy. Many parts of the course may refuse entry.
