I was so excited not only to join Kim Fletcher for her Millinery Parade Showing of Spring 2014, but also the chance to wear her hats modelling. Kim Fletcher's innate style is comparable to no one. Her flare and flamboyance in one hat will be discretely paired in the next with a subdued pillbox and veiling. Every year Kim Fletcher comes out with an outstanding collection with 2014 being a highlight. There is everything from a mowhawk, that was inspired by the late Paris Kyne to Perfect bows and Hats that can have you stand 7ft tall. The only thing to worry about is which to pick.
You can easily see why Kim Fletcher is one of Australia's leading Milliners and has really hit the nail on the head in all markets. The room is filled with Australia's leading names in Racing and the wearing of hats and Kim choosing models of ample figure and mature faces really makes it easy for the public to relate to Kim's hats. You can put any hat on a model and it will look fantastic, but Kim thinks about all her clients and demonstrates how a show-piece can make a wall flower dance the night away without a care in the world wearing one of her masterpieces. Kim's attitude is a very simple but superior where she is humble and grateful for the craft of Milliner of which she excels and never has an attitude about another person without knowing a person first. Kim features her hats Overseas and has been seen gracing the front page of China News with the coveted Melbourne Cup. There is no ego with Kim and you can never get enough of her happiness and creativity that she produces through her medium.
Kim is not a hard sell of her hats, and really they sell themselves. Kim will always have time for you as an individual and not only is she a supporter of Racing Fashion Australia, we support her 100% and cannot give you enough good words to talk about her and her amazing hats. Kim is a fantastic Australian Ambassador and no one else could do it as well.
A little secret, many Milliners make speak with posh accent, or talk about their latest trip abroad to inspire or at the very worst name drop, Kim will never name drop, but I do know she received the 'Trifecta" of Christmas Cards two years ago, Freddie Fox (RIP), Mr Stephen Jones Master Milliner and Philip Treacy who needs no introduction. This is a lady who is well loved by the BEST peers.
Thank you Kim Fletcher for giving me the chance to walk with some dear friends and be pampered, I felt very special and loved spending time with fellow ladies and gentlemen who frequent the track and love wearing hats. I am forever appreciative. Click Here to be directed to Kim Fletcher Millinery Art.
