Magic Millions Carnival is one of my most special weeks that I hold very close to my heart. The ladies and gentlemen of the Gold Coast are always welcoming colourful and fun.
If you want to hear gossip, innuendo, and trash, this is not the place for you. I will try to keep you informed on matters close to my heart and inform of what is going on in the community, but people with personal angst is not a matter for me to bother you with.
Thank you ladies who all looked marvelous at the luncheon and let me speak and communicate how special you all are to me. When I look back at the time when I first started here on the Gold Coast I knew no one, but now I have been welcomed like the first day and really I think I am part of the Magic Millions furniture.
I love the vivacious Jennie Bartels and Baslen Beel who not only bring a beautiful lunch for us to share but bring us together for social awareness of what is happening on the track and in the equine world. The charity work that drives Women in Racing Inc. is the Griffith University, which works with Hendra Virus, Equine Flu and many other immunology units including childhood cancer.
There was a very generous contribution in the room that gave $5000 to this charity which will make a difference in our society. The offer would have been upgraded to $1000 if we could raise an extra $1000. I would like to thank not only the people who put in money, but allowed me to come to the table to ask. It is not my fashion to ask for money, but there was a grand total of $830 raised by generosity of people in the room. May we not pay tribute to ego and how much we can put in, may we be grateful for the people who gave a silent donation that may never be recognized but wants to make the world a better place.
Racing Fashion is about the ladies I see at Women in Racing Luncheon and the love of fashion and hats. I love that we all look and admire each outfit and enjoy feeling good. I think the best dressed competition being scrapped from the luncheon has given a new perspective to what this is all about. Feeling good. I don't care how old, what shape, size or religion you are. I care that people feel good and this is what had driven this site to it's popularity. You the ladies I showcase.
I am very proud that I am included as a guest and I never believe it is a right to be anywhere, I am privileged and honored.
May we focus on the happiness that comes from the day, enjoy the beautiful Milliners and showcase their head art, and just enjoy. This is a start to a big week ladies. Lets get ready to race. Don't forget if you are on Instagram hashtag #racingfashion as we love to know what you are wearing. Sharing is caring. Big Hugs and keep a warm heart.
