Once, this meeting was known as an easy ticket into Fashions on the Field finals but now the day that everyone would not have know about is now the hottest ticket to the finals. The three finalists were great and even though we have seen Kelli Odell wear the white and black before, she is still on a winner, the look is clean sharp and well structured as the other two finalists has, Elis Ng Crews and Crystal Kimber.
There was allot going on with some of the looks, and this year we are wanting to see cleaner more simple lines. Where excess of accessories was the in thing a couple of years ago, it is now simplistic. A dash of vintage, not taking yourself into the 'Madman' 50s era. Think Minimalist style, mind you, Melbourne Cup Carnival, it is about excess and costume and relish in new materials in millinery.
I think the judges definitely did get the finalists right. There are 3 very different looks, but an overall of what is expected this season. From Audrey Hepburn classic and streamline, to sleek on trend lines.
Well done to all competitors, great to see all the familiar faces and welcoming to see new ones as well.
