Cox Plate day was showing us a peak of what is about to hit us for Melbourne Cup week. Wow, looking fabulous and colours beginning to burst through. The judging panel were the biggest names of millinery and racing fashion. I commend you on your choices and think that you had some very hard decisions on your hands. I particularly loved Joanne Donovan's outfit which she made herself, Joanne won best dressed member of the day and has a 6 month old. I think that is a challenge in itself. I loved the balloon ensemble's, just for fun and really gave us something different and innovative to look at. Lauren Andrews seems to be on a role winning another 'Fashions on the Field' two weeks running, and basically running with all the prizes. Congratulations Lauren. I think we are seeing a new unstoppable force in racing fashion. Of course I ended up being sunburnt like the rest of the people in the carpark, but it is better than being stuck in the rain. I love the fact that Cox Plate has categories for ladies the right side of 40. Unfortunately, it is almost impossible to compete with youth. But is it??? Something to ponder??? My friends in the celebrity room, I am sure I photographed you but cannot find the photos. I did not think I drank that much. It was a pleasure to meet wonderful friends from Tasmania and Hoppers Crossing.
