Oaks day did not disappoint with hundreds of ladies in line for a spectacular prize pool of over $400,000 worth of prizes. Colour was the trend for the day and allot of different interpretations of racing fashion. One lady even decided to adorn a stuffed toy chook on her head. Dare I say she did not final. I was so happy to see some of the latest trends from S/S Europe sneaking through. I loved seeing ladies of ALL ages finaling and showing off there race-wear attire. Remember, 'Fashions on the Field' is for all ladies, sizes, ages and shapes. Yasmin Sait-Armstrong from Palm Beach in NSW won on Oaks Day and took out the Victorian finals. Jamie Lowe and Melbourne 'Fashion on the Field' regular came 1st runner up in Collette Dinnegan. 2nd Runner up was Jessie Habermann from Victoria. Rebecca Twiggley was wearing a beautiful Aurelio Costarella and was keeping warm with a black pashmena. Also a tip from Rebecca, keep a phone with a mirror on the back so you can stay looking fabulous all the time. Again ladies as far as I am concerned, you are the stars of the races. No longer do I look in the paper to see what celebs are wearing as the public is outshining the famous yet again. Well done to all. You all looked beautiful.
